X-Ray

X-ray imaging uses low-dose radiation to produce images of the inside of your body. It is used to diagnose for example fractures (breaks) of the bone or arthritis and to assist in the detection and diagnosis of many other bone and joint diseases. X-ray imaging can also be used to check the heart, lungs and abdomen for abnormalities. X-Ray is a quick and safe medical imaging tool.

There is little reason to worry about the small amount of radiation you are exposed to during an x-ray. However, if you are pregnant, or suspect that you may be, you should tell your physician or technologist before the test is performed, as special precautions may have to be taken.

We conduct the following types of general x-rays:

  • Chest and abdomen
  • Head and neck
  • Joints
  • Upper and lower limbs
  • Spine and pelvis
